Arrowsmith La Flechette 2021 - Bottle
Spring 2020 brought lockdowns and heavy rain, followed by a long hot Summer. Our vines thrived, producing beautiful fruit that was ripened by some of the highest temperatures ever recorded in this region.
Blackcurrant and black cherry notes, a touch of spice, and gentle tannins make this a versatile and easy drinking red blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot. Grown at our home and harvested by us by hand on October 16, 2020, on our tiny 3/4 of an acre backyard vineyard.
Destemmed and crushed at the winery prior to fermentation. 14 months in neutral French oak. Bottled Jan 2022

This fruit was farmed at our tiny 3/4 acre backyard vineyard, 3 miles from Solvang. We just managed to harvest sufficient fruit to make just one barrel of this wine!
